General Guidelines:

All work must be the author’s own, in English or accompanied by an English translation. Single pieces by multiple authors will be considered.
Previously published work will not be given top consideration, but it isn’t a deal-breaker. Please be very clear about your piece being previously published if you decide to go that route.

No AI-generated work. Email us at [email protected] with any questions.

We are extremely interested in publishing pieces from BIPOC and LGBTQIA perspectives.

If we publish your work, please wait at least six months to submit again.

Submit through our Submittable link. We will not read emailed submissions!

Please only submit once per genre (per submission period), though you are welcome to submit in multiple genres!

There is no cost to submit. Unfortunately, we cannot pay at this time. We hope to change that in the future.

You must be at least 18 years of age to submit.

Please note: Our goal is always to elevate writers and add positivity to the literary community. We retain the right to remove work from the ASP Bulletin at any time if we think the writing or writer is enacting harm to others.

Prose Submission Guidelines:

We are looking for deeply personal narratives that surprise us. We love bold vulnerability, unusual forms, and unforgettable protagonists. Please keep the word count under 3000, but you may submit multiple flash pieces (as one submission) to reach that.

Poetry Submission Guidelines:

Dazzle us with poems that have a distinctive voice, vivid imagery, and rich, inventive language. We want to be moved, charmed, or surprised. Cliche, melodrama, and abstraction need not apply. 1-5 poems per packet, no more than 5 pages in total!
